WHAT MAKES A GOOD DRIVER?
The answer is more than just one thing. There are a number of characteristics that you will need;
KNOWLEDGE
ATTITUDE
SKILL
CONCENTRATION
ANTICIPATION
DISCIPLINE
Not necessarily in this order but you do need all six.
Recent studies have shown that by simply gaining an additional second of time to deal with potential problems, as much as 85% of collisions could be avoided.
While your vehicle is traveling at 100 km/h, if it takes you a single second to react and lift your foot off the accelerator and apply it to the brake pedal to react to a potential collision avoidance situation, you will have traveled approximately over 27 meters before you can stop. That distance is roughly the length of a two trailer road train.

IN-CONTROL promotes the importance of concentrating on the task at hand, to use eyes movement and scanning to anticipate, develop and improve driving skills, acquire or change certain attitudes and driving behaviours to enable everyone to acquire knowledge and self discipline in order to ensure proper road safety and respect for corporate property.
We are not in the business of producing race car drivers, but we use our acquired skills to communicate our passion, promote driver safety and change driving habits to make more courteous and safer corporate fleet drivers.
